Child Visa (Subclass 101) – Outside Australia – Offshore
The Child Visa Subclass 101 is designed to facilitate the reunite of eligible children with their parent(s) who are residing in Australia. This visa is intended for children currently living outside of Australia who seek to permanently join their Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen parent(s).
To be eligible for this visa, the child must be under the age of 18 and financially dependent on the sponsoring parent(s). There are certain exceptional circumstances where children between the ages of 18 and 25 may also be considered eligible if they are enrolled as full-time students or have a disability that prevents them from working.
Furthermore, the child must be the biological, adopted or stepchild of the sponsoring parent(s). Both health and character requirements must be met and the sponsoring parent(s) are required to provide a financial undertaking to support the child during the initial two years of their stay in Australia.

Child Visa (Subclass 802) – Inside Australia – Onshore
The Child Visa Subclass 802 is a permanent visa that allows children who are currently residing in Australia to enjoy indefinite stay and settlement with their Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen parents. To qualify, the child must be below the age of 18, unmarried, and not adopted. However, if the child is between 18 and 25 years old, they can still be eligible if they are enrolled as a full-time student. Alternatively, a child who is 18 or older and unable to work due to a disability can be eligible if they are financially dependent on the sponsoring parent. The child must be in Australia, but not in immigration clearance, when the application is submitted. and child can’t apply for this visa if he/she is in Australia on another visa with a no further stay condition

Dependent Child visa (Subclass 445)
The Dependent Child visa (subclass 445) allows a child to reside temporarily in Australia while the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) assesses their parent’s application for a permanent Partner visa. To be eligible, the child must be the biological, adopted or stepchild of the parent who seeks permanent residency. Sponsorship can be provided by either the parent or the sponsor of the parent holding the visa.
This visa is initially valid for up to 5 years and can be extended if necessary. Once the parent’s permanent visa application is approved, the child becomes eligible to apply for a permanent visa as well.
